The 3 of us convened the following weekend with our ground breaking creations and had a good spine splitting laugh, before we resigned to the fact that we weren’t born with creative minds. Evidently my Flamingo looked more like a Woodpecker on steroids. The touted da Vinci like designs from the other two guys weren’t significantly better better. One can potentially pass for a work by Picasso and the other seemed like bored doodlings from a unfortunate victim of a 5 hour long department meeting. But we went along and handed the design drafts to the committee nonetheless.
Although the committee collectively prohibited the 3 of us from designing anything that has to do with the club until such time when certain farm animals sprout wings and fly, they did agree to the idea that our little league team should probably have its very own logo. So I excitedly went home and did a search for logo design japan, chose some of the more established design agencies and tabled them to the committee.
Now we are happy to report that our soccer team has its own original logo. We had patches made for the jerseys and logo stickers produced for the fun of it - thanks to a small but adequate sponsorship we got from the ice cream shop we always take the kids to after a game. I heard from the little league grapevine that next year I’ll be in charge of liquid refreshments or more commonly known as water. I’m considering taking it a step beyond and am in the process of getting the paperwork done to present to Red Bull about a sponsorship contract.
