Soccer Coaching Drills - Discover 3 Passing Drills

Believe it or not but in the soccer coaching drills, some coaches ignore the passing drills. In soccer, passing the ball is the most vital thing to master because it’s the only skill that will help you become a match winner. In youth soccer drills, include a variety of sports and events in order to hone the player’s talent of passing the ball.

Teach the Basics: Start with the fundamentals. Break the team up into two and give a ball to each team. Guide them to pass and manage the ball within the team to practice.

This will give you a good idea of what the strengths and weaknesses of various players are. At the same time, it will also reflect the ability that each player has in passing the ball. It allows you to have an easy assessment of every team member’s development.

The Moving Circle: A number of games aid team members in learning effective passing. There is one soccer coaching drill where all players create a circle except for two people who stay inside it.

Two players inside the circle will then try and catch hold of the ball when it is thrown amongst those in circle. One of the players making the circle will replace the player inside the circle as soon as he captures the ball. These kinds of soccer practice drills have the advantage of teaching great skills in a fun way.

The Three Soccer Balls: The kids get to learn a variety of interesting things by doing this exercise. In this game too, the team is divided into 2 groups. 3 soccer balls are placed between the teams and when the coach says Start, the teams must compete to take the possession of 2 or 3 balls and when a team does, it is declared a winner.
